The Roots & Rise Experience
Roots & Rise is a global education initiative working towards economic mobility for marginalized communities. Through hands-on workshops in entrepreneurship and financial literacy, we help participants discover their strengths, develop their ideas, and build the confidence and practical skills to turn them into real opportunities. Participants learn how to identify their target customers, calculate costs, set prices, and understand revenue and profit, while exploring the fundamentals of marketing and different sources of funding.
Our work has taken place in Egypt, Brazil, India, and the USA, where each program is shaped by the needs, strengths, and aspirations of the community it serves. By combining creativity, problem-solving, and real-world business experience, such as simulated markets and promotional activities, we aim to give every participant the tools to build independence and shape a more secure future for themselves and their communities.
