Safiya is an Egyptian co-founder of Roots & Rise, leading its Egypt branch. Inspired by Wharton Global Youth’s Essentials of Entrepreneurship course, she teaches African refugee girls entrepreneurship, marketing, and financial literacy through hands-on workshops. She hopes to make these skills accessible tools for economic mobility, helping participants build financial independence and create new opportunities for themselves and their communities.

Sofia is a Brazilian co-founder of Entrepreneurship on the Vein, leading its initiatives in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Passionate about economics, finance, and entrepreneurship, she founded the project to make financial literacy and business education more accessible in underserved communities. Drawing on her experience in finance and entrepreneurship, she developed interactive educational programs that teach public high school students essential skills in personal finance, economics, and business development. Through the initiative, she hopes to empower individuals with the knowledge and confidence to achieve financial independence, pursue entrepreneurial opportunities, and create positive change in their communities.
